About the role Join our team to assist in the development and validation of User Terminals for the Telesat Lightspeed network. You will work alongside experienced engineers to refine sub-system designs and contribute to software-driven technical solutions.

• Assist with the design and verification of User Terminal hardware and software.
• Conduct theoretical analysis to support engineering decisions.
• Write and maintain software using Python, C++, or other relevant programming languages.
• Create and run automation scripts for testing purposes.
• Gather and interpret data from simulations and physical tests.
• Prepare documentation, including test procedures, plans, and final reports.
• Build and manage laboratory test environments.
• Present your project outcomes and findings to management at the conclusion of your term.

• Currently in your 2nd or 3rd year of a Bachelor degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
• Interest in satellite communications, modem design, antenna systems, and RF hardware such as power amplifiers, LNAs, and converters.
• Understanding of modulation and wireless transmission concepts.
• Familiarity with the satellite communications industry.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a hybrid workplace.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
