Energy and BAS Lead at St. Joseph’s Healthcare

St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton seeks an Energy and BAS Lead to enhance energy efficiency and manage sustainability across multiple facilities. Leverage your expertise in Building Automation Systems and energy assessments in a hands-on, in-person role.

This full-time position requires an individual passionate about promoting sustainability and energy conservation. The Energy/BAS Lead will handle energy assessments, develop energy management policies, and collaborate with larger commercial and institutional consumers. Knowledge of BAS systems, especially Siemens and Johnson Controls, is essential for integrating new functionalities and maintaining existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct energy assessments across SJHH facilities

• Develop organizational energy management policies

• Train staff on energy awareness and sustainability

• Coordinate BAS integrations and updates

• Recommend energy-efficient equipment for infrastructure projects

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering preferred

• 3 to 5 years of experience, with on-the-job training

• AEE Certified Energy Manager preferred

• Familiarity with energy modelling tools

• Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and best practices
