GFL Ottawa is seeking motivated individuals for the Chemical Technician role at our liquid waste processing facility. You will be responsible for receiving and preparing shipments of waste while ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The position involves conducting lab analyses on samples and providing excellent customer service during household hazardous waste collection events.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare hazardous and non-hazardous waste for transport
• Receive bulk liquids, solids, and containerized waste
• Take samples for laboratory analysis
• Ensure timely and safe waste processing
• Complete paperwork and hazard risk assessments
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Chemistry or related field
• Familiarity with waste management regulations
• Mechanical aptitude and teamwork skills
• Must be safety-conscious and detail-oriented
• Valid G class Driver's license required
