Ottawa Electrical Engineer - Rail Systems

This full-time, permanent role involves acting as the primary technical expert for rail transit electrical systems, including power distribution and control. You will develop and maintain essential preventative protocols, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Additionally, you will troubleshoot system issues and guide refurbishment strategies to extend asset longevity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and recommend strategies for asset refurbishments

• Develop and implement maintenance programs

• Investigate failures and propose solutions

• Conduct audits on maintenance performance

• Provide oversight for maintenance contractors

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory)

• Ontario P.Eng. license required

• 2-3 years on rail transit electrical projects

• Knowledge in PLCs and maintenance management systems

• Proficient data analysis and technical writing skills
