RFIC Design Intern

Position: RFIC Design Intern at Skyworks
Embark on your RF design career with Skyworks as an RFIC Design Intern in Ottawa, Ontario. This onsite role focuses on lab testing and characterizing cutting-edge RF integrated circuits.

Skyworks Solutions is seeking a university student for an RFIC design and lab testing role within its RF Mixed-Signal Intelligence Solutions business unit. The internship provides mentoring from a Senior Engineering expert and spans a full year, starting in January 2027. You will collaborate with a diverse team on complex RFIC projects, offering a solid introduction to RF electronic component design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct lab tests and characterize front-end modules

• Contribute to advanced analog and RF IC research

• Assist in new product design activities

• Communicate effectively across the organization

• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and data analysis skills

Requirements:

• Enrolled in an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering

• Full-time onsite commitment from January to December 2027

• Knowledge of Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave principles

• Experience in Power Amplifier and RF component design preferred

• Familiarity with ADS, Cadence, or similar design tools
