As a Systems Engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers to support the development of complex aerospace systems throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will help define requirements, perform technical analyses, write control documents, support system integration and verification activities, and collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines. This role is ideal for recent graduates or engineers with up to three years of experience who are passionate about solving complex technical problems and learning systems engineering best practices in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Core responsibilities- Support the development and management of system requirements, specifications, and technical baselines. Create and maintain schedules.
- Assist in translating customer and mission needs into system-level requirements.
- Participate in system architecture, design, integration, verification, and validation activities
- Contribute to requirements traceability and configuration management efforts.
- Support trade studies, risk assessments, and system performance analyses.
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, technical reports, and presentations.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, mechanical, electrical, test, and manufacturing engineering teams.
- Participate in system integration, test planning, test execution, and issue resolution.
- Assist in design reviews, technical reviews, and customer meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 0-3 years of engineering experience, including internships or co-op experience.
- Basic understanding of systems engineering principles and the engineering development lifecycle. Familiar with the NASA Systems Engineering Handbook.
- Familiarity with requirements management and systems documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and multidisciplinary environment.
- Internship, co-op, research, or project experience within aerospace, defense, aviation, or other complex engineering industries is an asset.
- Familiarity with aerospace standards and development processes is an asset.
- Experience with Project Management software such as Jira is an asset.
- Knowledge of systems integration, testing, and verification practices is an asset.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, Simulink, or similar engineering tools is an asset.
