Ciena's Supply Chain Procurement organization seeks an Optical Component Engineer focused on the Pluggable Optical Transceiver commodity. In this role, you will ensure product performance and supply continuity through rigorous supplier engagement and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams. Your expertise will significantly impact customer satisfaction by driving effective component qualification and reliability strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define qualification requirements for optical transceivers

• Qualify optical components and manage their lifecycle

• Conduct supplier audits and track corrective actions

• Evaluate product change notifications for reliability

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics
