Automated test development meets fiber-optic technology in this onsite Ottawa-area Test Engineer contract supporting manufacturing and new product introduction.

This Test Engineer supports fiber optic lab test equipment from R&D transition through production and lifecycle support. The role develops hardware and software test solutions using LabVIEW and Python, while guiding design for test and manufacturing strategy. It also supports contract manufacturing sites in Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead NPI transitions from R&D into manufacturing
Develop automated hardware and software production tests
Improve reliability, throughput, and test coverage
Plan, debug, and validate pilot production systems
Support international contract manufacturing test deployments

Requirements:

At least five years of automated production test engineering experience
Proficiency with LabVIEW and Python
Bachelor of Science in a relevant technical discipline
Experience with optical or RF technologies, preferably fiber optics
Understanding of measurement-system evaluation techniques
