Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a customer‑focused and detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our finance team. The AR Specialist will manage receivables, ensure timely collection of payments, and maintain strong customer relationships. This role works closely with sales and operations teams to resolve account issues and deliver an excellent customer experience.

• Collections & Customer Service – Monitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue balances in a professional, customer‑centric manner.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding account status and payment details.
• Partner with sales and operations teams to resolve billing disputes or discrepancies.
• Cash Applications & Reconciliations – Coordinate with the Junior Accountant to ensure customer payments are applied accurately and timely.
• Reconcile the AR subledger to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
• Investigate unapplied or misapplied cash and resolve issues promptly.
• Reporting & Controls – Prepare AR aging and collection status reports for management review;
  Escalate high‑risk accounts or collection concerns;
  Assist with month‑end close by providing AR‑related schedules and reconciliations;
  Support the implementation of AR‑related internal controls and process improvements.

• 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, credit & collections, or related accounting role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑service mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is an asset.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams in a fast‑paced environment.
