The selected candidate will work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors while ensuring the delivery of the organization’s mission, vision and values.
Main responsibilities include:
Devises and implements cost-effective financial processes incorporating appropriate internal controlsOversees the preparation of routine internal and funder financial and statistical reports including variance analysisCoordinates and assists with the annual auditPrepares annual and long-range financial plans and participates in the strategic planning processManages financial investments, mortgage/loans in consultation with the executive director and boardOversee IT activities and supervises data and IT staffProvides support for the development and implementation of new projects and programsMonitors teamwork plans and participates in team and centre-wide directional planning processesOther duties as requiredThis is a great opportunity to lead an organization that supports a great cause while taking your career to the next level!
Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or public administrationCPA designation completed or in progress6+ years progressive experienceGood knowledge of accounting and auditing standards for non-profit organizationsStrong critical analysis, problem solving and decision-making skillsExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenAssets:
