Make an impact with our Consumer Insolvency team as a Licensed Insolvency Trustee, Consumer (Manager, Consumer Insolvency). Responsabilities
Lead the planning and delivery of consumer insolvency servicesLead data analysis and review financial recordsAdminister formal insolvency appointments including bankruptcies and proposalsDevelop relationships with current and potential referral sources including credit counsellors, debt counsellors, lawyers, accountants, etc.Prepare and/or review all relevant BIA documentation including Statements of Affairs, 170 Reports, Court Orders and Affidavits, Certificates of Discharge, Trustee’s Supplementary Reports to Court, Pre and Post Bankruptcy Tax Returns, Final Statements of Receipts and Disbursements, etc.Assist with managing practice planning and scheduling as well as financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, variance recognition)Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to debtors; ensure debtor needs are metMaintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to the debtorNetwork in the local business community, consider business development opportunities and lead the preparation and delivery of presentations to referral sourcesMentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviewsContribute to strategic and operational planning related to file and practice management, as well as the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processesMaintain flexibility to travel, as necessarySkills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field is considered an assetCompletion of the BIA Insolvency Counselor courseLicensed Insolvency Trustee7+ years of insolvency experienceExtensive knowledge of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency ActStrong business and practice development skillsProven people management, relationship building and leadership skillsStrong strategic planning and conceptual thinking skills
