Our banking and corporate team in Ottawa is highly regarded for its extensive experience in regional, national, and international banking, finance, and corporate transactions across various industries. We provide strategic, business-oriented legal advice on complex matters such as project and acquisition finance, secured lending, debt and equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, private placements, venture capital, and general corporate and commercial advisory.

We are seeking to add an associate with strong experience in banking, project finance, and secured lending. Experience in advising on mergers and acquisitions (private and/or public), securities, corporate/debt finance, and general corporate/commercial transactions is an asset. This is an excellent opportunity to join a world-class team at an established Canadian law firm with an international presence, working in a collaborative and rewarding environment.

The ideal candidate will possess an LL.B or J.D. degree and have:

• 3-6 years of relevant experience in private practice or in-house;
• Exceptional client service, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and initiative;
• Business acumen and a strong commercial understanding;
• High integrity, a diligent work ethic, and passion for the work.

Bilingualism is a plus but not required.
