Position Summary1
VALET is seeking an experienced and visionary Vice‑President of finance to lead the financial strategy of a high‑growth, fast‑scaling technology company.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP finance will oversee financial planning, corporate governance, risk management, and compliance while ensuring financial health and profitability.
The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on leader with deep experience in corporate finance, M&A, financial forecasting, and investor relations. This role is an opportunity to shape the financial future of a proptech industry leader.

VALET's growth objectives. - Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, ensuring long‑term sustainability.
- Establish profitability benchmarks and optimize capital allocation strategies.
- Provide financial insights and leadership to exceed business performance targets.
- Ensure compliance with ASPE, IFRS, and US GAAP accounting standards.
- Oversee audit functions, governance policies, and internal controls (ICFR).
- Monitor business risks, liabilities, and financial exposure, implementing mitigation strategies.
- Stay informed on federal, provincial/state, and international regulations to ensure compliance.
- Lead financial IT system implementation (ERP, Net Suite) to improve scalability.
- Identify and secure funding opportunities (IRAP, Can Export, government grants).
- Conduct business performance analysis, identifying cost‑saving opportunities and revenue growth strategies.
- Deliver detailed financial reports and earnings summaries for stakeholders and board members.
- Provide strategic financial leadership to senior management, external partners, and investors.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing finance and accounting team.
- Drive process improvements and enhance financial reporting frameworks.
- Act as a change agent, implementing innovative financial solutions to support business expansion.
- 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in a high‑growth technology, SaaS, or startup environment.
- CPA designation required, strong expertise in multi‑national accounting and structuring.
- Demonstrable knowledge of ASPE, IFRS, and US GAAP.
- Proven track record in financial forecasting, risk management, and fundraising.
- Strong executive presence with excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience managing multi‑functional finance teams in a dynamic environment.
- Ideally bilingual (English is mandatory, French is an asset, Spanish is a plus).
- Experience with Net Suite or ERP systems is an asset.
