We are partnered with a prominent established Real Estate Investment Group managing a diversified portfolio across residential and commercial sectors. They are seeking a Manager External Reporting to lead the preparation of public financial disclosures and ensure rigorous compliance with international accounting standards. This role is perfect for a technically minded CPA with deep IFRS expertise who is ready to take ownership of complex reporting requirements.

• Manage the end-to-end process for preparing quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements ensuring full compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Oversee the corporate consolidation process for all subsidiaries joint ventures (JVs) and investment properties including managing intercompany balances and minority interest disclosures.
• Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors coordinating all reporting requirements managing timelines and resolving complex technical accounting issues during quarterly reviews and the annual audit.
• Research interpret and document technical accounting policies proactively assessing the impact of new IFRS standards on the organizations financial results and disclosures.
• Prepare detailed financial statement notes Managements Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) and supporting documents for all external stakeholders and regulatory filings.
• Contribute to internal control documentation and compliance ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the financial reporting environment.
• Lead process improvement initiatives related to the financial close and external reporting cycles to enhance efficiency and timeliness.
• Collaborate closely with internal tax treasury and legal teams to ensure consistent treatment of complex transactions.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA Certification is required.
• 58 years of progressive accounting experience with significant time spent in corporate financial reporting or public accounting (Assurance/Audit).
• Deep demonstrable expertise in IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements for public companies (e.g. REITs investment funds).
• Prior experience in the real estate or related investment industry is highly desirable ideally working with property valuations and complex asset structures.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills for preparing accounting memos and policy papers.
• Excellent organizational project management and time management skills with the ability to manage strict reporting deadlines.
• Proficiency with large-scale ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel modeling.
