Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for providing full-cycle accounting support from A-Z. This includes managing the day-to-day accounting operations, while also providing the leadership team with timely reporting and insight into factors impacting growth and profitability.
You will be considered a hands-on, “roll-up your sleeves” Controller who enjoys having variety in their day-to-day responsibilities. Additional duties include:
Preparation of monthly financial statementsPreparation of budget and oversightManagement of payroll and benefitsBank reconciliationsRecord monthly commission revenue and application of the variable compensation planPayment of all bills and expensesProvide updates to CFO on progress toward annual business plansPreparation of year-end documents and closing of accounting system at year-endManage tax related activities such as HST/PST filing and tax installmentsThis is a great opportunity to join a long-standing organization which will guarantee you a good work life balance, while still offering you technical challenges to keep you interested and engaged. Qualifications:
The main qualifications for this role include:
Post-secondary education in accounting and/or finance requiredCompleted CPA designation or in process considered an assetMinimum 5+ years of progressive full-cycle accounting experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPrevious Sage 50 experience considered an assetProficiency in ExcelCompensation, Perks & Opportunities:
