We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Manager with international experience working in a multi-company environment to join our Finance team. Based in Ottawa, ON, the Finance Manager will oversee financial reporting, month-end processes, internal controls, and compliance with International accounting standards in particular USGAAP. This role will collaborate cross-functionally to support strategic financial decision-making and ensure strong financial stewardship across the organization.

- Lead full cycle accounting, including general ledger management and full financial reporting and planning.
- Oversee day to day accounting operations, providing coaching and mentorship, and monitoring performance.
- Ensure timely preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and ensure HOIST is meeting deadlines for the submission of financial information to the Governments in which HOIST operates.
- Manage the financial cash planning and forecasting process.
- Develop and refine financial processes, procedures, and best practices to drive accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure that financial transactions and reporting are compliant with internal controls, accounting standards, and governmental requirements
- Provide and oversee financial support to internal partners and senior leadership.
- Review contracts for financial commitments and collaborate with HOIST SVPs to ensure that the financial commitments are assessed and upheld.
- Support the CEO & CFO with workflow process improvement and pursuing strategic or special projects.
- Work with direct reports to determine objectives and development plan for each year, and advising on their progress to enhance staff professional development.
- Lead performance management for direct reports, including objective setting, coaching and resolving personnel conflicts.
- Coaches team members with a wide range of financial acumen, primarily the direct reports within the Finance group.
- Provides oversight to the team of both Financial Analysts and support staff
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
- International finance and accounting experience
- Strong understanding of USGAAP and tax compliance Globally
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Legally entitled to work in the country you are applying for
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly IFS Cloud
- Other languages a bonus, in particular French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Arabic
