As a Licensed Insolvency Trustee, Consumer (Manager, Consumer Insolvency), you will help Canadians navigate financial challenges and achieve financial freedom. Your role will involve assisting individuals in times of financial distress and helping them regain control of their finances.

Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and delivery of consumer insolvency services.
- Analyze data and review financial records.
- Administer formal insolvency appointments, including bankruptcies and proposals.
- Develop relationships with referral sources such as credit counsellors, debt counsellors, lawyers, and accountants.
- Prepare and review all relevant BIA documentation, including Statements of Affairs, 170 Reports, Court Orders, Affidavits, Certificates of Discharge, Trustee’s Reports, Tax Returns, and Disbursement Statements.
- Assist with practice planning, scheduling, and financial management (budgets, WIP, billing, variance analysis).
- Innovate to deliver added value to debtors and meet their needs.
- Maintain high-quality control and address issues or risks relevant to debtors.
- Network within the local business community and consider business development opportunities, including delivering presentations to referral sources.
- Mentor and coach team members, set expectations, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
- Contribute to strategic and operational planning to improve work processes.
- Travel as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field is an asset.
- Completion of the BIA Insolvency Counselor course.
- 7+ years of insolvency experience.
- Extensive knowledge of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
- Strong business development skills.
- Proven leadership, relationship-building, and people management skills.
- Strategic planning and conceptual thinking abilities.
