Senior IT Financial Management Advisor

Drive IT financial planning and analysis as a Senior Advisor with EDC in Ottawa’s hybrid work environment, supporting technology investments and budgets.

This permanent position supports Digital & Technology Solutions through budget forecasting, invoice processing, investment analysis, and cost optimization. You will provide trusted advice to technology leaders, Finance, and partners while strengthening financial governance and decision-making. The work connects technology investments with organizational priorities.

• Support operational budget planning, forecasting, and ongoing investment management
• Process invoices, verify coding, and resolve payment exceptions
• Analyze trends, investment performance, risks, and financial opportunities
• Develop reporting covering budgets, forecasts, expenditures, and risks
• Support cost optimization and technology investment decisions

• Undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum seven years’ project, program, portfolio, or technology delivery experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial interpretation abilities
• Ability to build relationships across organizational levels
• Ability to clarify requirements and negotiate practical solutions
