In accordance with the new Directive on Security Screenings Top Secret security clearances are granted to Canadian citizens only. This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance to be appointed to the position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Senior Intelligence Analyst in OSFIs Intelligence Analysis Division you would contribute to ensuring FRFIs protect themselves against threats to their integrity and security including foreign interference. The Senior Intelligence Analysts duties are wide-ranging but could include being responsible to:
- Intake collate and assess intelligence and data from internal and external sources
- Leverage available sources and analyze threat-related information to produce actionable intelligence products
- Produce intelligence reports and other products to provide timely relevant and actionable intelligence in support of OSFIs integrity and security mandate
- Produce issue-specific assessments and collaborate on intelligence products relevant to OSFIs mandate
- Work with other government departments to render information useable for action-on where needed and possible
- Engage with clients in other OSFI sectors to support them in triaging prioritizing and interpreting intelligence
- Support other sectors in interpreting and responsibly applying intelligence in formulating advice including for the Superintendent and Minister
- Provide effective coordination and support OSFIs integrity and security mandate involving the management of any national security or foreign interference crises / situations.
The immediate need is to staff one (1) position with a language requirement of bilingual imperative BBB/BBB on an indeterminate (permanent) basis.
POSITION DETAILSCLASSIFICATION: This position is classified at the RE-05 group and level which is roughly equivalent to the EC-06 group and level.
LOCATION: The designated worksite for this position is the Ottawa Ontario OSFI Office which will be considered the employees regular place of work.
Due to the nature of the work and operational requirements this position requires full-time physical presence in the office. As such this position is not suitable for telework.

ESSENTIAL
EDUCATION:
- A degree OR diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in national security economics finance foreign policy sociopolitical issues or other relevant field.
OR
- An acceptable combination of relevant experience AND education or training.
* At the managers discretion OSFI may consider candidates who do not possess a degree or diploma but meet the combination of experience and education or training if concrete examples are provided.

ESSENTIAL
EXPERIENCE:
- Significant experience using structured analytical techniques to autonomously conduct intelligence analysis relating to national security.
- Significant experience in autonomously drafting written intelligence products for senior management relating to national security such as intelligence assessments research papers and briefing notes.
- Significant experience in delivering operational briefings and/or presentations related to intelligence activities to senior management with little supervision.
- Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with partners at GC security and intelligence agencies relating to national security or intelligence activities.
- Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of the experience normally associated with the performance of the duties for a period of at least two (2) years within the last 5 years.
