Become a Senior Policy Analyst at the Assembly of First Nations, where your research will support First Nations advocacy and policy development. This role requires a blend of analytical skills and on-the-ground engagement.
In this influential position, you will research, write reports, and provide policy recommendations that resonate with First Nations communities' needs and priorities. You will travel occasionally for outreach and stakeholder engagement while participating actively in team discussions to ensure aligned strategies. Your work will help foster strong relationships with various First Nations' groups.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze statistics and qualitative information effectively
• Develop impactful policies and presentations
• Collaborate with AFN to support policy coherence
• Maintain databases for policy information
• Prepare summaries for committee meetings and forums
Requirements:
• Degree in political/social sciences or related
• Minimum of 5 years in policy analysis with First Nations focus
• Strong communication and partnership development skills
• Ability to synthesize complex information
• Experience in engaging with various governmental levels
