As a key member of YWCA Canada’s senior leadership team, your primary focus will be advancing national advocacy strategies on critical issues affecting gender equity. You will be responsible for engaging with various stakeholders, providing strategic insights on public policy, and fostering strong relationships with member organizations. Your work will emphasize intersectional approaches, aiming to create lasting systemic change.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement national public policy advocacy initiatives
• Collaborate with internal teams on advocacy content
• Strengthen partnerships for coordinated efforts
• Lead research and analysis on relevant policies
• Monitor and respond to emerging advocacy needs
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years in senior advocacy roles
• Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant area
• Strong bilingual communication skills
• Excellent strategic thinking and project management
• Proven ability to influence diverse stakeholders
