Senior Advisor – Defence & Security

EY is looking for a Senior Advisor for Defence and Security to play a pivotal role in strengthening EY’s presence across Canada’s Government & Public Sector, focusing on the Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). The role is senior, market-facing, combining account leadership, subject matter expertise, and business development.

Responsibilities
  • Defence Sector Leadership & Market Presence
    • Serve as EY’s client- and public-facing SME on defence and the CAF.
    • Act as a trusted advisor on defence priorities and transformation.
    • Represent EY externally through media, conferences, and events.
    • Lead development of defence-focused thought leadership.
    • Actively contribute to EY’s global defence and security ecosystem.
  • Account Leadership & Client Relationships
    • Build deep knowledge of defence clients and priorities.
    • Strengthen senior stakeholder relationships.
    • Identify opportunities to bring EY solutions.
    • Support account strategy and growth.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Market Engagement & Client Value Creation
    • Shape and deliver distinctive value propositions to help advance client priorities.
    • Work across multidisciplinary teams.
    • Support delivery teams with defence expertise.
    • Enhance engagement quality and impact.
    • Provide strategic insight throughout the client lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • High-ranking experience with DND/CAF/NATO.
  • Experience as a strategic advisor.
  • Experience developing and publishing thought leadership.
  • Strong executive presence.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and public‑speaking skills.
