Advance Canada's tech landscape as the Senior Director of Public Policy s full-time role requires expertise in public policy, advocacy, and government relations, primarily focused on federal initiatives.
As the Senior Director, you will report directly to the Executive Vice President, Public Policy, and drive TECHNATION’s advocacy strategies. This includes analyzing government announcements, developing policy documents, and supporting key committees. Your insights will shape the public discourse around legislation affecting the tech industry while ensuring effective collaborations between government officials and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in enhancing TECHNATION’s profile with public sector leaders
• Lead analysis of current issues impacting the tech sector
• Prepare policy position documents for advocacy efforts
• Build relationships with federal and provincial government officials
• Appear before Parliamentary Committees as a witness
Requirements:
• 6+ years in government relations or public policy
• Strong understanding of Canadian federal and provincial policies
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Master’s Degree preferred
• Demonstrated experience in advocacy initiatives
