Elevate the archival function at the Senate of Canada as an Archivist. This full-time position focuses on managing institutional archives, requiring expertise in archival science and extensive experience.

The Senate is seeking an indeterminate, full-time Archivist to drive the performance of its Archival function. This role demands at least seven years of experience in archive management and expertise in preserving and securing collections. You will also provide strategic advice to senior management while curating vital historical documents for the Senate and Parliaments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage the Senate Archival function

• Provide expert guidance to ISD management and the Clerk

• Preserve and curate Senate and Parliamentary archives

• Recommend policy changes and best practices

• Conduct archival assessments for historical value

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in archival science or related field

• Minimum 7 years of archive management experience

• Extensive knowledge of archival preservation techniques

• Skills in project advising and coordination

• Strong analytical and client service skills
