Harris as a Senior Specialist in Trade Compliance in Ottawa, ON. This role focuses on ITAR and EAR classifications while providing critical support to engineering teams.
As a Senior Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include conducting jurisdiction reviews and aiding technical teams with design for export methods. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in aerospace or defense and at least five years of relevant experience. Your attention to detail, along with excellent communication skills, will drive successful project outcomes and compliance adherence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform classification reviews under ITAR and EAR as required
• Support the CJ and CCR request processes for export compliance
• Review supplier classifications and ensure proper documentation
• Deliver training to engineers on trade compliance matters
• Engage in cross-functional collaboration with teams
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Engineering or relevant technical field
• Proven experience in trade compliance within aerospace/defense
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Eligibility for government security clearance
