Working with the CMC, you will engage in policy monitoring, manage committee operations, and liaise with government organizations to enhance market access for Canadian meat products.
Your role will encompass drafting strategic documents and guiding the advocacy efforts essential for resolving access barriers and enhancing industry growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor developments impacting the meat processing industry
• Manage CMC's policy development committees effectively
• Provide recommendations for trade negotiations
• Coordinate responses to market access challenges
• Represent CMC in government and industry forums
Requirements:
• Degree in economics, political science, or related discipline
• 1-3 years of experience in policy development or related areas
• Familiarity with Canada's agricultural sector preferred
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Must have the ability to register as a federal lobbyist
