Join the Senate of Canada as an Archivist and protect our democracy's history. This full-time role requires expert archival knowledge and significant experience in managing collections.
The Senate is looking for an Archivist to lead its archival operations within the Information Services Division. As the authority in this role, you will provide critical guidance to the Clerk and senior management, recommend policies, and ensure preservation of vital historical records. The ideal candidate must have at least 7 years of experience in archive management and expertise in securing institutional collections.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage Senate archival functions and policies
• Serve as custodian of critical documents and archives
• Provide high-level advice and strategy to leadership
• Collaborate on archive projects and monitor team progress
• Establish service standards for client interactions
Requirements:
• University degree in archival science or related field
• 7+ years managing archives and preservation efforts
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Proven analytical and presentation capabilities
• French language proficiency required
