Become the lead Archivist at the Senate of Canada, shaping its archival legacy through expert management and strategic advice. This permanent, full-time role is located in Ottawa.
We are looking for a senior Archivist to play a pivotal role in preserving the Senate's corporate memory. You must have at least seven years of proven experience in managing archives and expertise in providing strategic archival guidance. This role involves collaboration with senior management and the Clerk, ensuring the effective curation and security of critical documents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the Senate's Archival function and performance
• Serve as decisive advisor to ISD management
• Curate and safeguard institutional archives
• Propose best practices and policy enhancements
• Assess historical value of Senate information
Requirements:
• University degree in archival science or similar
• 7+ years of relevant experience in archives
• Proven skills in preservation and archival security
• Experience in client service and relationship building
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
