Lobbyist

Position: Lobbyist for Weritas
Shape public policy at Weritas Technologies Inc. as a full-time Lobbyist in Ottawa. Leverage expertise in government relations and financial technology advocacy within a hybrid work environment.

In this role, you will advance Weritas's public policy priorities by engaging with government officials and regulatory bodies. Your key responsibilities include monitoring relevant legislation, drafting policy briefs, and fostering relationships with diverse stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams to align strategies with product development while driving financial inclusion through innovative technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop policy briefs and advocacy materials for legislation

• Monitor and analyze regulatory developments in capital markets

• Engage with government officials and industry associations

• Organize and participate in public forums and hearings

• Align advocacy strategies with company mission and compliance

Requirements:

• Expertise in lobbying and governmental affairs

• Proven ability to influence public policy outcomes

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge of fintech, AI, and blockchain technologies

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field; advanced degree is a plus
