Contribute to land use and development planning with the National Capital Commission as a Senior Planner. Lead complex projects and advise on federal approvals in a hybrid work environment.
This senior role involves overseeing land use policies, managing stakeholder communications, and advising on important projects within the National Capital Region. Qualified applicants must possess a degree in Urban or Regional Planning and have significant experience in urban planning, particularly with real property projects. This position requires strong leadership abilities and a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and prepare approvals for federal land projects
• Manage complex real property initiatives from planning through delivery
• Provide strategic advice to stakeholders and senior management
• Analyze proposals and ensure compliance with legislation
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and negotiate priorities
Requirements:
• Degree in Urban or Regional Planning
• 5-8 years of urban planning experience
• Membership in relevant professional planning associations
• Ability to obtain Secret security clearance
• Bilingual in English and French preferred
