As a senior member of NCCM’s Government Affairs team, you will spearhead federal government relations, recommend advocacy strategies, and influence legislation. Collaborating with the CEO and executive team, your work will drive policy efforts that address emerging issues affecting Muslim communities in Canada. You'll engage with Members of Parliament and improve representation in federal decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute public policy strategies aligned with NCCM’s goals
• Build relationships with federal decision-makers and advocacy coalitions
• Lead research on federal policies impacting Canadian Muslims
• Coordinate advocacy campaigns on key national issues
• Mentor and support junior staff in government relations
Requirements:
• 7-10 years of experience in government relations or public policy
• Extensive knowledge of federal processes and parliamentary affairs
• Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Strong policy analysis and writing abilities
• Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
Lead impactful advocacy efforts at NCCM, ensuring the voices of Canadian Muslims are heard in federal policy discussions.
