The Governance Policy Analyst will contribute to advancing Oneida’s interests through careful analysis and the articulation of complex information. Candidates should possess a degree in Political Science or a relevant field, with 1-2 years of experience, preferably in First Nations advocacy. A strong skill set in research, written communication, and Microsoft Office is essential for success in this crucial position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support advocacy priorities and policies for Oneida Nation
• Analyze provincial and national policy initiatives
• Prepare written documents like briefing notes and work plans
• Collaborate with Chief and Council on policy matters
• Distill large information sets into digestible reports
Requirements:
• Degree in Political Science, Social Science, or Indigenous Studies
• 1-2 years relevant experience in policy analysis
• Knowledge of First Nations culture and issues
• Strong communication skills and ability to multitask
• Must complete a Criminal Record check before employment
