As a Senior Environmental Operations Specialist in the Clean Water division, you will perform field and office tasks under Clark County's NPDES permit. This role encompasses project management, providing technical assistance to businesses, and conducting stormwater inspections. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with maintenance standards and addressing water quality complaints.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct inspections of stormwater management facilities for compliance
• Respond to and resolve citizen complaints related to water quality
• Provide technical guidance on stormwater facility maintenance
• Manage inspection data using digital record-keeping tools
• Participate in grant proposal preparation and program budgeting
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in natural science or related field
• Two years of experience in stormwater management or environmental education
• Knowledge of water quality regulations and standards
• Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder interactions
• Valid driver's license required
