Drive municipal advocacy as an Engagement Advisor with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. This role combines strategic outreach and member engagement in a hybrid work environment.
In this position, you will support FCM members by leading tailored engagement strategies and contributing to effective advocacy events. With a focus on the municipal sector, the Advisor develops tools that amplify members' voices and enhances collaboration across diverse teams. Developing an understanding of federal-municipal dynamics is key to ensuring our members are informed and engaged.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead outreach strategies for involved geographic regions
• Organize member-focused advocacy events for FCM leadership
• Amplify municipal voices through engagement activities
• Implement and evaluate engagement tools and strategies
• Provide expert advice on political strategy and municipal dynamics
Requirements:
• 3-5 years in advocacy or electoral campaigns
• Experience in project management and communication
• Understanding of federal politics and municipal needs
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French
• Ability to adapt in fast-paced environments
