CHALLENGES AWAITING YOU
As a respiratory therapist, you specialize primarily in the assessment of adult patients, and occasionally in the stabilization of pediatric and neonatal patients.
On a daily basis, you will:
• Provide coaching, pulmonary education and rehabilitation to assist patients in the self-management of their condition and improve their quality of life;
• Respond to cardiopulmonary crises to help restore ventilation and blood circulation, and assist in the transport of ill and unstable patients;
• Act as a smoking cessation advisor;
• Share your skills and knowledge to students and staff;
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement and emergency preparedness;
• Promote health.
TEMPORARY PART-TIME 0.7 FTE until June 2027 approximately
- We offer 8 or 12 hours shift
- Day, evening and week-end shifts - subject to change

As a pre-condition of employment:
What we are looking for
• Hold a diploma from an accredited respiratory therapy Program and a current General Certificate from the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario, without any terms, conditions or limitations;
• Have a relevant hospital experience;
• Demonstrate a good experience in critical care and complete pulmonary function testing;
• Be up to date with BCLS, ACLS and NRP certifications. PALS certification is an asset;
• Ability to communicate effectively in French and English.
