Extendicare Medex is hiring a Part Time Housekeeping Aide responsible for cleaning and sanitizing living areas for residents.

Your role ensures cleanliness and safety in their living environment.

As a Housekeeping Aide, you will clean residents' apartments and communal areas while using proper sanitation methods. Your responsibilities include operating floor cleaning machines, removing garbage, and preparing required documentation. You will also stay updated on best practices through regular training while maintaining the dignity and rights of all residents at the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize areas based on schedules

• Use floor care machines and cleaning equipment

• Buf and maintain carpets and other floors

• Adhere to safety and cleanliness standards

• Participate in staff training and Quality Improvement Programs

Requirements:

• Proficient communication in English; a second language is a bonus

• Experience in healthcare or commercial cleaning is desirable

• Capability of working with little oversight

• Must meet the physical demands of the role

• Current Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain
