The Ottawa Hospital seeks a Privacy Lead to oversee health information systems and the Information and Privacy Office. This pivotal position entails investigating privacy breaches, responding to regulatory complaints, and providing vital staff training. Key Responsibilities:
• Investigate and respond to privacy breaches and complaints
• Deliver training and education to staff on privacy best practices
• Conduct privacy impact assessments for new projects
• Oversee requests related to freedom of information
• Manage privacy and information governance activities comprehensively
Requirements:
• Degree in Health Informatics, Law, or related field
• Minimum five years' experience in policy development
• Two years in project leadership or management
• Knowledge of PHIPA and FIPPA legislation
• Strong writing and communication skills
