Temporary Lab Patient Technician Position

Enhance patient experiences as a Lab Patient Technician located at our Carling site. This temporary, full-time role excels in phlebotomy, ECG, and maintaining patient confidentiality.

In this Lab Patient Technician role, you will perform a variety of tasks such as greeting patients, collecting specimens, and ensuring accurate documentation. Your responsibilities also include conducting ECGs and developing strong client relationships, all while working various shifts. This position is available for a one-year contract, making it ideal for dedicated professionals in the medical field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with patients and explain collection processes

• Execute phlebotomy and Holter monitor procedures

• Carry out ECG tracings with precision and care

• Collect special test specimens and manage documentation

• Ensure proper handling of specimens for testing

Requirements:

• Preferred graduate from Laboratory Assistant program

• Experience in phlebotomy and ECG is advantageous

• Strong communication and empathy towards patients

• Computer skills with at least 40 wpm typing speed

• Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality
