This position allows you to thrive in a cross-functional environment. You will handle clinical specimens, register patients, and perform essential laboratory tests, fostering teamwork and collaboration. Instruction of medical laboratory trainees is part of your role, ensuring the highest standard of quality assurance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Verify and label clinical specimens for testing
• Execute non-complex laboratory testing for newborns
• Maintain patient registration and test requests in the LIS
• Aid in instruction for students and health professionals
• Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines
Requirements:
• Completion of a Criminal Record Check
• Valid OSMT or College Technician (MLA) Certificate
• Proficient in verbal, interpersonal, and written communication
• Flexibility to work under minimal supervision
• Bilingual in English and French preferred
