Island Health is inviting applications for an experienced Medical Laboratory Assistant dedicated to improving patient outcomes. In this critical role, you'll manage specimen collection, perform lab tests, and assist in the proper storage of biological samples. Your contributions will be vital within a supportive healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute laboratory procedures alongside clerical responsibilities
• Collect blood and other biological specimens for analysis
• Prepare samples for further testing and assure storage
• Perform urinalysis using dipsticks efficiently
• Conduct ECG tests as required
Requirements:
• Successful completion of a recognized training program
• Minimum one year of related experience in a laboratory setting
• Hold a valid BC Class 5 Vehicle License
