In this pivotal role, your main focus will be the safe transport and care of patients during emergencies. You will assess situations, administer medical aid, and follow protocols set by the Ministry of Health. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential to navigate the challenges of emergency medical services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess environmental risks and respond to patient needs
• Report ambulance movements to Central Ambulance Communications
• Follow Basic and Advanced Life Support Patient Care Standards
• Document call reports and ensure vehicle readiness
• Participate in public education programs on emergency care
Requirements:
• Minimum qualifications for primary care paramedic
• Valid Class “F” driver’s license needed
• Up to two years of paramedic experience preferred
• Must comply with safety regulations and assessments
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check required before hiring
Provide essential care and support during medical emergencies with the City of Thunder Bay's EMS team.
