The role of the Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) is to provide personal care, in-home respite, and home management to clients, based on assessed needs. The CCA encourages clients to be as independent as possible. Duties provided by the CCA will be assigned and supervised by the Home Care RN/Assessor/Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS- Must have a certificate from SIAST/Polytech or other recognized institute in the Home Care Aide/Special Care Aide or Continuing Care Assistant program.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must be currently certified in CPR/AED and First Aid.
- Must have a clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector check.
- Must be physically and mentally capable of performing duties, including lifting 25 lbs.
- The ability to speak/understand language(s) of the Nation is an asset.
- Knowledge/awareness of the First Nation culture is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to take direction and to work with others.
- Ability tomaintainstrict confidentiality.
