Compassionate Pallbearer

Join Dignity Memorial to support families as a Pallbearer in Ottawa, Ontario. Assist with every aspect of the funeral process, showcasing compassion and respect.

As a Pallbearer, you will play a critical role in assisting casket bearers and the Funeral Director with various duties during funeral services. Your responsibilities will include arriving promptly at the designated location and ensuring the casket is moved respectfully during all service aspects. You will also assist passengers, particularly the elderly and handicapped, and may even participate in community outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in moving casketed deceased to service locations

• Drive funeral vehicles in the procession as required

• Help passengers, emphasizing care for the handicapped and elderly

• Form the cortege and manage traffic during services

• Load and arrange floral tributes as instructed

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• At least six months of related experience

• Valid Driver’s License with clean record

• Professional appearance and demeanor

• Must possess compassion and respect
