Start Date:Almonte General Hospital and Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital created the Mississippi River Health Alliance (MRHA) in 2016 to formalize their commitment to work together to improve each patient and resident’s overall health care experience through a strong, coordinated system of care. An integrated Senior Team leads the two Hospitals, as well as Fairview Manor and Lanark County Paramedic Service which are operating divisions of AGH.
Over 600 caring staff,physicians and midwives provide excellent primary, acute and long-term care to citizens of Lanark County, West Ottawa and Renfrew County.
Reporting tothe Clinical Manager/PACS Administrator, the incumbent is responsible for organizing and performing the ultrasound examinations requested by physicians,to maintain and document high quality images, and practice good patient care.
Basic Requirements- Graduate of an approved and accredited school ofultrasonography with current membership in the Sonography Canada.
- Commitment to excellence, quality, patient and employee safety.
- Previous experience as an Ultrasonographer in ahospital environment.
- Must be able to perform abdomen, pelvis,endovaginal, scrotal, thyroid, deep vein ultrasound (DVT) and obstetrical.
Carotid and shoulders preferred. - Demonstrated ability to maintain professional standards in all areas of work.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
- Ability to meet demands of the job, both physical and cognitive.
- Previous experience in vascular imaging.
