Personal Support Worker Opportunity at Avalon Care

Support the residents of Avalon Care Centre in Orangeville, Ontario, as a Personal Support Worker with Jarlette Health Services. This permanent part-time role focuses on providing essential assistance with daily living activities.

You will work under the Co-Director of Care, aiding in resident care and encouraging their independence. Your responsibilities will include direct patient care, maintaining compliance with health regulations, and ensuring timely communication about residents’ health changes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct assistance with daily activities to residents

• Observe and document patient health status changes

• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality care

• Uphold all safety and health standards in the facility

• Complete required documentation accurately and diligently

Requirements:

• Must have completed a recognized PSW training program

• Enrollment in RN or RPN programs considered

• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred

• Excellent communication skills necessary

• Must be adept with computer systems
