Respiratory Therapist for Sleep Lab

Located in Ottawa, the Respiratory Therapist role encompasses both Ambulatory and Critical Care settings. You will be vital in conducting assessments, implementing care plans, and utilizing diagnostic tools to oversee respiratory patients and those with sleep-disordered breathing. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is essential, alongside providing family education and support to enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct polysomnography and scoring for evaluations

• Implement respiratory care techniques and oxygen therapy

• Administer inhalation medication per directives

• Collaborate in sleep lab organization and planning

• Participate in interdisciplinary discussions on respiratory management

Requirements:

• Member of the College of Respiratory Therapy

• Minimum 3 years pediatric respiratory experience

• BCLS certification is mandatory

• Vulnerable Sector Check is essential

• Bilingualism in English/French is required
