Part Time Personal Support Worker at Extendicare

As a Personal Support Worker with Extendicare, you will fulfill the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of patients. Ideal candidates will have completed a PSW Program or hold HCA/CCA certification. Previous experience in long-term care, especially with dementia and palliative care, is preferred, along with strong communication skills to work effectively with residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct personal support including feeding and grooming

• Assist with ambulation and daily living activities

• Maintain documentation for care planning

• Communicate positively with patients and families

• Work independently in community home care settings

Requirements:

• Completion of a certified PSW Program or HCA/CCA

• Experience in long-term or home care settings

• Knowledge of care planning systems

• Ability to read and write in English

• Valid driver's license for community transport
