Position: Professor for Respiratory Therapy at Algonquin College
Enhance student success as a full-time Professor in the Respiratory Therapy Program at Algonquin College. You'll design courses, teach, and provide academic leadership in this fulfilling role.

In this role, the Professor will work in the Allied Health department, starting January 4, 2027. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Responsibilities include course design, delivering instruction, and guiding both students and part-time professors in curriculum development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and revise Respiratory Therapy courses

• Deliver engaging instruction across multiple terms

• Provide academic advising and tutoring support

• Evaluate student progress and ensure learning outcomes

• Lead departmental and consultative committee work

Requirements:

• Registered as a Respiratory Therapist in Ontario

• Minimum two years teaching experience in postsecondary education

• At least five years working as a practicing Respiratory Therapist

• Demonstrated knowledge of educational technologies

• Strong organizational and communication skills
