Position: Clinical/Forensic Psychologist – UNI 10

Responsibilities

In this role you will perform psychological assessments on potential candidates and current employees. You will be responsible to administer and interpret standardized psychological tests and conduct psychological interviews. Your assessment reports will offer advice and recommendations about the suitability and organizational complementarity of candidates, or about the psychological readiness of employees for a mission.

An Enhanced Top Secret (ETS) security clearance is a condition of employment that must be met before an offer can be made.

Location

Ottawa, Ontario. CSE has two accessible facilities. Flexible work arrangements, including telework for a portion of the work week, may be possible.

Education
  • Hold a master's or doctoral degree in psychology from a recognized university with a specialization in clinical or forensic psychology, and
  • Be an active member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, the Order of Psychologists of Quebec or in your province of residence and be authorized to practice independently, as a psychologist, in the field of forensic or clinical psychology.

Note: The educational program must be recognized in Canada, and you must be able to provide proof of education credentials.

Experience
  • Conducting psychological assessments with adults, including experience in assessing personality, emotional and behavioral functioning and psychopathology.
  • Administering and interpreting standardized psychological assessment instruments (ie. MMPI-2; MMPI-3 MMPI-RF, PAI, NEO-PI)
  • Writing psychological reports and communicating psychological assessment results in a clear, concise and professional manner.
  • Bilingual means that knowledge of both official languages (English and French) is required for the position.
    • Imperative means that you must possess the knowledge of both official languages before a job offer can be made.
  • The profile (CCC/CCC) represent the proficiency level you must demonstrate in each of the language skills (reading, writing and oral interaction) for the bilingual position. For bilingual positions, second language evaluations will be offered to candidates who don’t have valid language test results issued by the Government of Canada.

  • Completing psychological assessments that are relevant to personnel selection in a high security environment.
