Position: Psychologist for CHEO Eating Disorders Unit
Join CHEO in Ottawa as a Psychologist within their Eating Disorders Program, where your expertise will support children and youth battling severe eating disorders. This role emphasizes clinical assessments and therapeutic interventions tailored for young patients in need.

You will work within a comprehensive interdisciplinary team that delivers inpatient, day treatment, and outpatient services. Your key functions encompass psychodiagnostic assessments and imparting therapeutic techniques, including Family Based Therapy (FBT) and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). Collaboration with healthcare professionals and educational efforts for students will be central to this impactful role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide psychodiagnostic and psychological assessments for patients

• Implement therapeutic interventions using FBT and EFFT

• Liaise with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals

• Engage in case planning during interdisciplinary team rounds

• Train Psychology residents and practicum students

Requirements:

• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from a recognized institution

• Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario

• Experience treating severe eating disorders in youth

• Proficiency in group and family therapy methodologies

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and team collaboration
